POSITION PURPOSE:

As the District Sales Manager (DSM), you'll own the people, sales and training for a District of T-Mobile Tier 1 Dealer locations leading a team of high-quality hands-on district sales professionals.  The successful DSM will consistently deliver sales results that meet all required sales metrics; will insure that all stores deliver an exceptional customer experience; and insures that all stores are fully staffed and fully trained with high quality sales professionals.

The DSM will cultivate working relationships with the store management and sales representatives; as well as all other internal and external partners. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Consistently meets or exceeds sales, customer service, and operational performance expectations in each location.
  • Conducts required store visits per location, including visits in the evening and on weekends.
  • Creates S.M.A.R.T. action plans to turn key metrics from Red to Green.
  • Conducts monthly 1 on 1s with Store Managers and ASMs to review store performance and create action plans for improvement.
  • Conducts regular conference calls, trainings, and meetings to foster knowledge and best practice sharing.
  • Works closely with store management to source, interview and onboard new hires to insure stores are fully staffed.
  • Conducts a monthly New Hire Sales Training that effectively delivers the defined PCSMS Sales Behaviors.
  • Manages the internal delivery of training programs and support materials, ensuring that training programs address business objectives and employee needs.
  • Ensures all store personnel are trained on and are following all policies and procedures.
  • Assess and advise management on the effectiveness of programs and practices.
  • Maintains and consistently communicates store performance metrics recognizing top performers.
  • Communicates professionally and timely, with urgency and passion, with customers, employees, leaders; support center team, vendors and co-workers via phone, chat, or email.
  • Upholds and partners with HR to enforce all Company and T-Mobile policies and procedures.
  • Ability to structure and prioritize tasks for yourself and others to insure all aspects of sales and training initiatives are achieved timely and accurately.
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to plan and execute local events and promotions consistent with PCSMS and T-Mobile marketing initiatives and branding.
  • Resolves customer issues.
  • Proactively reviews sales reporting to identify sales potentials and or sales gaps and takes appropriate action.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with co-workers, vendors and partners.
  • Works nights and weekends.
  • Travels as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years wireless multi unit store experience preferred where the focus has been on sales generation as well as sales training. T-Mobile experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of all aspects of store operations.
  • Demonstrated successful in the selection, development and promotion of Sales Consultants; Assistant Sales Managers and Store Sales Managers.
  • Demonstrated success directing training and development activities of a sales team.
  • Demonstrated success in staffing stores with high quality, high potential candidates.
  • Experience utilizing a behavioral based selection processes for store level staffing.
  • Demonstrated success managing store-based marketing initiatives.
  • Experience with consistent delivery of store sales promotions.
  • Effective Oral & Written Communication Skills.
  • Strong knowledge of common business applications (Web browsers, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Demonstrated high ethical and moral behavior, unquestionable integrity and character.
  • Ability to work 50+ hours per week, including evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Ability to travel as needed up to 50%
  • Valid Driver's License & Proof of Liability Insurance

EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • HS Diploma, BA or BS preferred in a related field or equivalent experience.

While performing the duties of this position, the District Sales Manager is regularly required to sit, stand and lean over, use hands and fingers, handle and feel objects, pens, use telephone, talk and hear.  This person will work in a construction environment at times.  Must be able to work a 50 to 60-hour work week and must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.  Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.  Ability to use both hands in fine, gross manipulation of small tools, such as copier, computer, and telephone.  Must have ability to see well enough to read handwritten and typewritten material.

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, AND OTHER WORK AIDS

Must be able to use telephone systems, tablets, copy machine, computer, keyboard, fax machine, and policies, procedures, plans, and program manuals.
